This is a collection made by the Tilata’s student, Juan Felipe López.

 

I believe that every person in the world is a combination of different aspects, a combination of different colors that define who we are, who we were, who we wanna be. Our dreams, our feelings, our sensation, our experiences, and every little aspect existing inside our own personal world. Every artwork that makes part of this exposition exists in order to explain a small part of what I consider are symbols that may represent a part of the person that we really are. As you may know, white is the combination of every color that exists, every artwork follows the conductive thread that is based on being yourself and loving what makes you, every color gives you a piece of that and that creates the human that we are today, developing different colors, learning how to love our combinations and giving the world the that you can give. 

 

This collection of artworks feels very personal because of how important is for me to express what I feel through arts and give this overview of the relatability that connect us as humans, every color has a specific symbolism that has been related to it through history and that may be a representation also of who we are as people. The first artwork is white (We) because it is the combination of colors and every person has their own combination and colors that at the end of the day end up being the same because we all have things to say and feeling to express. The next artwork is black (Me) and it represents how the essence builds for us can be seen as the absence of every other aspect and just ending up in our most personal moment with ourselves. The next artwork is Black & white (Power) because being empowered with ourselves and the person that we are in general no matter what the other may think or say is such a big part of identity, you are not black or white, you are you and that is what makes you special.
