An exhibition is very important for an artist since it shows their positions, thoughts, and feelings about what they want to show, but it also lets the audience to have an idea of how that person is as an artist. In this case, my exhibition has as a common theme fashion and fashion design because it is a subject that I really like and motivates me to learn new things about it every day. I have the perception that people think that fashion is something only related to vanity and luxury, but in reality, it is a very large topic that can be studied in different ways. Fashion can help us to express any feelings or thoughts that you want to say and even allow people to show themselves as they really are. On the other hand, fashion can also be considered as a brand that helps to keep a record of the past and represents an industry that needs many people with a lot of knowledge in various subjects to develop work or designs that will stay present over time.

In this exhibition, you will notice that most of the artwork will focus a bit on everything that has to do with women because I wanted to show how women are a very important pillar in society and also in the entire fashion industry. Another thing that all of my art pieces have in common is the dedication that I put into each one of them because, even though they are all related to clothing, each one has something that makes it different and unique. Additionally on a more technical aspect, in most of the pieces in the exhibition, I used paint because it is a way in which I can easily experiment and capture the ideas that I want to transmit. I figured out that each of the colors that I included in the pieces was added for a reason and it was a way to represent the emotions I wanted to show. Finally, it was a bit challenging to complete each of the works of art because I wanted it to be perfect, so it took a lot of time to get to the final work that I wanted.

Dreams to fly

Dreams are things that people forget from time to time because they focus on the things they have to do and not on the things they want and like to do. This work is my self-portrait but it represents a part of me that nobody knows, which includes my goals, dreams, and desires.

The two visions of the past

On many occasions, people recognize works of art, but they do not consider the idea of how those pieces would look in a different format. This was an opportunity to use two important works of art and add my perspective of them by embodying them within an unconventional model that will generate new emotions for people. By incorporating these pieces into a dress you can also create different interpretations related to new themes such as fashion.

A big change

This work was created from an object. That object was heels that inspired this work of art. The idea was to transform those heels into something totally different but not to lose its meaning or main idea. These hands were made based on a story that refers to heels and shows the change that women have from being girls to later becoming women.

Through Fashion

Through this college, I wanted to give greater importance to those figures in the history of fashion that are usually not very recognized. Whenever fashion is discussed, brands with the names of famous designers and their ideas are recognized, but the face of these people is not very known. In this work, it is recognized the journey of significant characters within the history of fashion by highlighting their physical aspects instead of their creations.

A memory that prevails

With this work, I wanted to capture how difficult my grandmother's death was for me. My idea was to reflect different moments of my life with her and the great teachings that she left me about faith, the importance of the catholic rosary in our lives, and how that will allow us to be connected forever.

The trends of coronavirus

Now at days in the context of the coronavirus pandemic, people are entering stages that perhaps they never thought they would cross. What I want to represent in this painting are the different types of people that exist in this situation, especially the kind that has to deal with online classes and jobs. I wondered how people behaved when they had to work or study only in front of a computer, so here we can see how through clothing you can express your personality. There are three types of human beings, those who walk in pajamas all day, those who only wear the elegant top but the rest with pajamas or underwear, and finally, the person who, regardless of whether they are in a virtual class or online working, always gets ready and dresses up as if they were going out.
